The Wertz Gallery and its “Art of the Ancients” collection, the magnificent gift of Madeline Wertz in honor of her husband and his father, is an invaluable attraction to museum visitors of all ages. Over 10,000 objects from the Adena and Hopewell cultures, as well as earlier indigenous populations, are on view in the permanent exhibition in the Museum.
